"For me, teaching is inspiring others to make what they are feeling & thinking...to create three dimensionally is especially satisfying for the human eye as well as the hand. I try to teach my students to draw on learned techniques and take chances. Mistakes are often made but, as in life, creating art offers us the opportunity to be flexible, to approach the problem from another angle and, to maintain faith in one's ability to think critically and resolve the problem."
