“The direct method of carving involves releasing the form by making a series of marks or “high points” on the piece and carving directly into the stone or wood. Planes are constantly shifting, while the form takes place slowly, but with a strength and beauty that flows from the material. Each piece evolves with a life of its own….

My goal in each piece is to create a sense of movement. Thus inviting the viewer to look entirely around the piece so, that each viewpoint harbors its own expressive side…”
